A woman who suffered severe burns during a night attack by Russian drones on Odesa on November 21 died in intensive care on December 7.
This was reported by the Suspilne media outlet with reference to the victim's daughter.
The information was also confirmed by Olena Velmozko, a spokeswoman for the city's health department. According to her, despite the efforts of doctors, the injuries were critical and led to the patient's death. The 49-year-old woman was in serious condition: doctors diagnosed burns on about 65% of her body surface and damage to her upper respiratory tract. She was hospitalized immediately after the attack and was treated in intensive care, said Vitaliy Gutsulyuk, head of the department of endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery at an Odesa hospital.
As a result of the Russian attack on Odesa on the night of November 21, a residential building, a service station with cars and an administrative building in one of the city's districts were damaged. Five people were injured - three were hospitalized: A 49-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy suffered thermal burns, and a 70-year-old man sustained a head injury. Doctors are providing all the necessary assistance. Two other victims: a 67-year-old man with an acute stress reaction and a 43-year-old man with facial burns, are receiving medical care on an outpatient basis.
On the night of November 21, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 115 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of attack UAVs. According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense neutralized 95 enemy UAVs in the north, south, and east of the country.
On November 17, a Russian air attack in Odesa region left 32,500 families, mostly in the south of the region, without electricity.
On the night of November 17, the Russian army massively attacked Odesa region with attack drones. Despite air defense efforts, there were consequences for the energy and port infrastructure. Several civilian vessels were damaged during the attack.
