Weather conditions in Kherson and the region have deteriorated sharply, with strong winds causing a number of damages and complications.

The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that the weather has been raging in the region for several hours. According to him, due to strong gusts of wind, trees have fallen, power lines have been damaged, and anti-drone structures have been partially destroyed on certain sections of roads.

In turn, Yaroslav Shanko , head of the Kherson MVA, added that wind gusts damaged anti-drone structures in the direction of Zelenivka. In the city itself, fallen trees are being recorded, blocking traffic in some places.

Due to the risk of damage to the overhead power lines, electric transport in Kherson is finishing its work ahead of schedule.

Local authorities have assured that all utilities are working in emergency mode to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather.

Residents are urged not to go out unless necessary and to refrain from traveling until the weather conditions stabilize.

This morning Korabelny district in Kherson was partially de-energized as a result of another enemy shelling.

A sudden power outage occurred in Kherson on April 16 after 10:00. Along with the power, the city lost water supply.

As a reminder, more than UAH 250 million from the reserve fund was allocated to protect the critical infrastructure of the Kherson community without open bidding and with one contractor for all facilities. The largest contracts were awarded to a company for which these projects provided more than half of all revenues.

It also became known that the energy sector of the Kherson region will receive €1 million in financial assistance from the German region of Schleswig-Holstein. The grant funds will be used to technically strengthen the power system and eliminate the consequences of damage.

In addition, strong winds in Mykolaiv region damaged power lines, leading to massive power outages.
