The energy sector of Kherson region will receive €1 million in financial assistance from the German region of Schleswig-Holstein. The grant funds will be used to technically strengthen the power system and eliminate the consequences of damage.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional State Administration.

"This amount is twice as much as originally planned. After we spoke to the regional government, they decided to increase the assistance," said Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

In addition to financial assistance, the region expects to receive 13 armored vehicles for the evacuation of the wounded and emergency services (the first batch of three vehicles will arrive in February).
