Vitaliy Kim visited the defenders in Sumy region and handed over the necessary equipment to the military of three brigades. The defenders were also presented with awards.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, visited the military defending the country in the Sumy region. He met with the soldiers of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, the 80th, 82nd and 95th Air Assault Brigades, thanking them for their service and steadfastness.

You defended Mykolaiv region, and now all the brigades are like family. We will continue to support you," Kim emphasized.

As part of the visit, the military received 80 DJI Mavic quadcopters, EcoFlow charging stations and valuable gifts. The soldiers were also awarded the St. Nicholas the Wonderworker honorary insignia.

During the meeting with the commanders, they discussed the current needs of the units and the possibility of further support. In addition, Vitaliy Kim held a separate meeting with the Commander of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ihor Skybyuk to identify areas of cooperation and assistance to the military from the Mykolaiv region.

In late December, the Mykolaiv community handed over another batch of drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are carrying out combat missions in the Kherson sector. In total, over the two years of Russia's full-scale invasion, the city has supported the military to the tune of almost a billion hryvnias.

In December, five units of Mykolaiv brigades received 90 DJI Mavic quadcopters and a compact Jackery mini-power plant. Despite the limited budget, in 2024 Mykolaiv continued to support the defenders: to promote community activity at the front, the city provided drones, cars, generators, starliners, electronic warfare systems and other important equipment. In addition, the military received more than 20 vehicles and a significant number of technical means for effective work on the front line.

A separate area of assistance was the provision of supplies to Ukrainian soldiers who returned from captivity. Thanks to the support of local businesses, they received 100 specially equipped backpacks with the most necessary items.
