The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit a radar station in occupied Crimea. The cost of this equipment is estimated at more than 100 million US dollars.

This was reported by Krymskiy Vetr.

The Russian radar station 55Zh6U "Nebo-U" was heavily damaged near Yevpatoriya after the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck.

According to intelligence reports, the station is missing a part of the antenna and the rotary mechanism was damaged, which has effectively turned the radar into an "exhibit".

The exact time of the strike is currently unknown. Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of January 22, the Nebo-U radar was hit near Yevpatoriya.

According to the report, such a radar station costs about 100 million US dollars. It is a three-dimensional transient long-range radar surveillance system capable of operating at 13 frequencies in the VHF range. The system can separate and detect targets at an altitude of up to 75 km, making it one of the key links in air defense and airspace control.

On January 19, the Ukrainian military also destroyed the Nebo-U radar station located near Yevpatoria, as well as the Pantsyr-S-1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system.

Experts noted that the damage to such an expensive and technologically sophisticated station significantly weakens the enemy's ability to detect air targets early and coordinate its own air defense forces in the southern direction.

On the night of January 27, units of the Defense Forces hit a Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system near the village of Kacha near Sevastopol. The report stated that the strike was aimed at reducing the offensive potential of the Russian army, and the extent of the damage is being clarified.

In addition, over the nearly four years of full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 50 military aircraft and helicopters in the occupied Crimea and over the Black Sea. The number of casualties increased sharply in 2025, but the attack on the Saki airbase in Novofedorivka in August 2022 remains the largest strike so far.
