The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has fully satisfied the claim of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine against Oleksandr Kuzmenko, a collaborator who voluntarily took the position of the so-called "Minister of Culture of Kherson Region" during the occupation of the region.
This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
According to the court's decision, all of Kuzmenko's property found in Ukraine was transferred to the state. This includes:
Kuzmenko voluntarily cooperated with the Russian occupiers and actively supported their aggression. As a pseudo-Minister of Culture, he participated in propaganda activities aimed at legitimizing the Russian occupation authorities in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region.
The sanctions were imposed on him in accordance with paragraph 11 of part 1 of Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine "On Sanctions". It was on this basis that the court decided to confiscate his assets.
The decision has not yet entered into force, as Kuzmenko has the opportunity to appeal.
In January, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to impose sanctions on Oleksandr Kuzmenko.
Earlier, the media reported that before the full-scale Russian invasion, Kuzmenko headed the music school No. 4 in Kherson. After the occupation, he immediately agreed to work for the Russians and was appointed to a senior position in the illegal "government of the Kherson region." In the early 2010s, Kuzmenko was a member of the Communist Party of Ukraine. After that, he became a deputy of the district council of Suvorov district from the Bloc of Volodymyr Saldo.
Meanwhile, the confiscated apartments of Russian oligarch Mikhail Shelkov and Ukrainian collaborator Volodymyr Saldo in Odesa were sold in the system "Prozorro. Sale system for almost UAH 7 million.
