Two women will be tried for participating in the organization and holding of a pseudo-referendum in Muzykivka.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Oleshky District Prosecutor's Office, indictments were sent to court against two residents of the region on the fact of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It is noted that the investigation established that in September 2022, the accused joined the so-called "precinct election commission" that was preparing a "referendum" on joining the Russian Federation in the village of Muzykivka. The women, accompanied by armed Russian soldiers, went to the homes of local residents, urging them to participate in the "vote." They kept records of those who "cast their votes," issued ballots, and monitored their completion and placement in the ballot box.
The special pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Kherson region. The sanction of the incriminated article provides for a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for 15 years and confiscation of property.
Earlier it was reported that a law enforcement officer will be brought to trial in Kherson region for his participation in organizing and conducting a pseudo-referendum. The investigation established that in September 2022, the accused participated in the organization and holding of a pseudo-referendum on secession from Ukraine and accession of the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region to Russia. The defendant, holding the position of "head of security" at a seized agricultural enterprise in the Bilozerska community, agitated employees to participate in the "vote". In case of refusal, he threatened them with non-payment of salaries. He also organized the movement and arrangement of the so-called "mobile polling station" on the territory of the enterprise.
