On December 19, the Defense Council of Odesa Oblast suspended the movement of freight transport on the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway.

This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper.

"We ask the owners of transport companies and drivers to take the above information into account when planning their cargo transportation routes," the official said.

In the morning, traffic on the M-15 Odesa-Reni road (to Bucharest), through the village of Mayaki in Odesa region, was blocked in both directions due to intensified Russian attacks on bridges across the Dniester and the Dniester estuary.

On the evening of December 18, during an attack in Odesa region, an enemy attack drone hit a bridge connecting settlements in the area of the Dniester Estuary and also hit a bridge over the Dniester River near the village of Mayaki. There, it hit a civilian car that was crossing the bridge. The car was occupied by a woman with three children. The mother was seriously injured and died in an ambulance. Her three children were taken to the hospital with injuries and acute stress reaction.

The military administration of Odesa and Odesa region, as well as the regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, have deployed a Humanitarian Coordination Center at the site of the roadblock to provide the necessary first aid to those who were traveling on the road during the roadblock and became hostage to the situation.

Meanwhile, a residential area in the Peresypskyi district of Odesa, formerly known as Kotovsky's village, was left without electricity, water and heat supply as a result of the Russian attack on December 19. The Russians damaged an energy infrastructure facility. The shock wave damaged the glazing in a five-story residential building. One person was injured.

On the night of December 19, according to the General Staff, the enemy attacked with 160 Shahed, Gerber and other types of attack UAVs. According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense neutralized 108 enemy UAVs. At the same time, 47 attack UAVs were recorded at 23 locations.
