Three Mykolaiv Residents Face Up to 10 Years for Selling PVP Drugs

In Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region, three local residents were suspected of selling psychotropic substances.

According to the press service of the National Police in Mykolaiv region, the offenders distributed drugs among their acquaintances in the city. They face up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.

As it became known, the suspect woman, together with her brother and another acquaintance, was involved in the sale of a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance PVP. She was responsible for purchasing and transporting the drugs to her home, after which she and her accomplices sold them among her friends.

During the searches, the police found packaged alpha-PVP, cannabis, a syringe with a brown liquid, drafts, mobile phones, a bank card and electronic scales. A tablet and a phone were seized from the house of another suspect. All the found items were sent for examination.

Investigators served the three suspects with a notice of suspicion of illegal acquisition and possession of psychotropic drugs for sale. The court imposed on two of them custody with the possibility of bail, and on the third - house arrest. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Recently, Mykolaiv police detained a 45-year-old man who was selling drugs through the mail and personally delivering them to customers. During the search, they found a large amount of drugs, explosives and ammunition.

Earlier, in the suburbs of one of the district centers of Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officers found more than 100 cannabis bushes carefully tended by two men. During the authorized search, 104 bushes of this plant were seized. For such actions, the suspects face up to seven years in prison.

In addition, in Odesa, the police, together with the SBU, conducted a special operation that resulted in the dismantling of an international drug syndicate that produced up to 100 kg of heavy psychotropic substances per month.
