Russians are conducting a large-scale information and psychological operation against Ukraine.
Initially, the alleged threat of massive shelling was reported on the website of the US Embassy.
It stated that it had received "specific information about a possible significant air attack on November 20." As a precaution, the embassy was closed, and consulate staff were ordered to take shelter in place. Later, it became known that the embassies of Spain, Italy, and Greece would temporarily close in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The Center for Countering Disinformation commented on the US Embassy's warning about possible shelling. The agency noted that Russia had been stockpiling missiles for months for a series of strikes on Ukraine. These are missiles of the X-101 type, which continue to be produced, as well as "caliber" and ballistic missiles. For attacks, Russia has trained aviation, missile stockpiles at strategic airfields and warehouses, as well as warships.
The CPD emphasized the importance of taking this information into account: organizations should consider security measures, and citizens should respond promptly to air raid alerts.
Later, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine stated that the Russians had launched a wave of fakes through messengers and other social networks to intimidate Ukrainians and exert psychological pressure on our society.
The DIU noted that these messages contain grammatical errors typical of Russian IPSOs.

The Ukrainian intelligence called on citizens to trust information only from official resources and from the DIU spokespersons. Ukrainians were also urged to remain calm, carefully check information, and not to neglect air raid warnings.
In the event of Russian missile or drone strikes, it is recommended to go to the nearest shelter and not leave until the air raid is over.
Meanwhile, the number of victims of a Russian missile strike in Odesa on November 18 has risen to 11, with one of the victims dying in hospital.
The missile fired by the Russians on the afternoon of November 18 hit a residential building. The death toll from the November 18 rocket attack on Odesa reached 10 people by the morning of November 20, including seven police officers, a medic, and two local residents.
On November 19, the city declared a day of mourning.
