Rescuers have surveyed 339,300 square meters of seabed in search of the body of a young man who went missing from the beach in Chornomorsk, Odesa region.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast, this is a tragedy that occurred on July 28.

47 thousand square meters were surveyed using an underwater drone, and 377 kilometers of the coast were checked. The search is ongoing and the rescuers have no plans to stop.

Earlier, the rescuers reported that they had suspended the search for the boy, but later that day it turned out that the suspension was only for the night and the search continued.

On the morning of July 29, rescuers began searching for the boy who went missing during the storm from the central beach of Chornomorsk in Odesa region. According to the rescuers, in the evening of July 28, they received a report that a boy born in 2009 had disappeared into the sea on the city's central beach. Due to the weather conditions - strong winds and large waves - it was impossible for the diving department to conduct search operations. Therefore, the search began in the morning.

Also on July 28, the police confirmed the information about the death of two people on the beach, and the mayor of Chornomorsk, Vasily Gulyaev, said that on that day, rescuers pulled 50 people out of the water, including 10 children.

The day before, one child died and four others were hospitalized after a tree fell in the town of Balta, Podil district, Odesa region. The teenagers were vacationing by the river. Bad weather began, strong winds kicked up, and a tree fell on the tent where the teenagers were staying. Rescuers arrived at the scene and rescued four children from under the tree and handed them over to doctors. Unfortunately, the fifth child could not be saved.
