The occupiers failed to gain the loyalty of the population of Kherson region

In the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, Russia is trying to celebrate the day when they tried to legitimize the occupation of our territories.

This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevsky.

His post says that the residents of Kherson region remember very well how it happened: at gunpoint, with ballot boxes in the middle of the street, with requests to "vote for yourself and a friend/relative/deceased", in violation of international norms and rules. In fact, only the appearance of a "referendum" was created. The Russian propaganda machine is able to create an alternative reality and history, completely replacing facts and substituting concepts.

Sobolevsky noted that all these actions are illegal and will never be recognized by Ukraine, Ukrainians, or the international community.

"What have these two years of temporary occupation brought to our territories? Terror, looting, squeezed business and real estate, lack of living conditions (no water, electricity, gas), a wild mixture of a post-Soviet concentration camp and theater of the absurd," the MP added.

"The occupiers have failed to gain the loyalty of the population. Everything is based on terror, intimidation, repression and will collapse instantly after de-occupation. The Russians have not received and could not receive the support of the population.

"The greatest wish for all of us is that our people living in the temporarily occupied territories become free as soon as possible. Getting out of the occupation is like a second birthday for everyone who went through it," Sobolevsky added.

Earlier it was reported that in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and other regions of Ukraine, the shortage of personnel does not allow the enemy to find traitors to work as bailiffs.

Also, in the left-bank part of Kherson region, thorough searches were conducted in a significant number of settlements. According to the available information, in addition to filtration measures among local residents, they were also looking for their own deserters - Russian soldiers who left their place of deployment. Such comprehensive measures do not stop, and the tactics of terrorizing civilians continue
