The area of the forest fire near occupied Yalta has grown to 10 hectares

<span><span><span><span><span><span>A fire near occupied Yalta has spread from three to more than 10 hectares over the past two days. The occupying administration is seeking volunteers to help fight the fire.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>People aged 18 and older with no health issues are eligible to participate in emergency response efforts. As of August 20, the occupying authorities had already mobilized nearly 500 people and about 100 pieces of equipment.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The rugged terrain is hindering firefighting efforts. Equipment cannot reach the mountainous area where the fire originated. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The occupying authorities have not officially stated the cause of the fire.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier reports indicated that real estate prices in occupied Crimea have fallen from 180,000 to 130,000 rubles per square meter, and apartments have been sitting on the market for months without buyers due to the absence of tourists, electricity, water, and constant shelling. Russian propaganda calls this “market stabilization,” while real estate agents and residents themselves privately acknowledge that the situation is catastrophic.

Schools in Crimea are also scheduled to open on September 1, as the lack of stable internet access makes it impossible to organize high-quality distance learning. Under the special educational regime, meals for elementary school students and children from disadvantaged groups will be provided in the form of dry rations.
