UAV attacks and the lack of tourists have caused housing prices in Crimea to fall

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Real estate prices in occupied Crimea have fallen from 180,000 to 130,000 rubles per square meter, and apartments have been on the market for months without buyers due to the lack of tourists, electricity, water, and constant shelling. Russian propaganda calls this “market stabilization,” while real estate agents and residents themselves privately admit that the situation is catastrophic.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Russian propaganda media report on this situation by claiming that “Crimean housing is becoming more affordable” and that “prices have been adjusted.” Ordinary agents at real estate companies do not share this view. One real estate agent in Yevpatoria said he hasn’t sold anything since spring. At the same time, he noted, developers are trying to sell new buildings at virtually cost.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>“Before, people from the ‘mainland’ used to buy up everything while it was still at the foundation stage so they could rent it out later. Now they’ve all rushed to sell them as resale properties—but to whom? There are no tourists, no electricity, no water—just flights arriving,” the man said.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier in Russian-occupied Crimea, after a brief improvement in the fuel supply situation, the gasoline shortage has intensified again. At most gas stations that remain open, diesel fuel is currently the main option available. 

Amid the shortage, local residents are offering various theories about the causes of the fuel shortage. In particular, one theory suggests that gasoline may have been stockpiled ahead of the September elections to the Russian State Duma in order to ensure that it would be available at gas stations in greater quantities and at lower prices before the vote. However, there is no confirmation of this theory yet.
