Russians killed the only ecologist who worked in Kherson

An attack by a Russian drone on a bus in Kherson killed Volodymyr Shum, an environmentalist with the city council. Another 9 people were injured. It happened on January 6.

According to Roman Mrochko, the head of the Kherson MVA, Volodymyr Ivanovych Shum was a specialist in the ecology department of the municipal services and improvement department of the municipal economy department of the Kherson City Council.

According to him, Russian terrorists killed the only ecologist who was physically working in the Kherson community today. Volodymyr Ivanovych Shum took care of trees most of all. In a few days he was to celebrate his 51st birthday.

A total of nine people were injured in the attack on the shuttle bus.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, two people were killed and 17 civilians were injured during the day as a result of regular Russian shelling.

The invaders hit industrial infrastructure and shelled residential areas once again, damaging four private houses, a gas pipeline, a taxi and private cars.

In particular, Molodizhne, Zelenivka, Chornobaivka, Antonivka, Dariivka, Poniativka, Naddnipryanske, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Komyshany, Bilozerka and Rozlyv were under fire and air strikes by Russians.

In addition, the enemy fired at Romashkove, Dniprovske, Veletenske, Kizomys, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Tokarivka, Novotyanka, Tyahyanka, Olhivka, Lvov, Virivka, Mykolaivka, Monastyrske, Tomaryne, Sablukivka, Zmiivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Odradokamyanka, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Vesele, Kozatske and Kherson.

Prior to that, the Russian army shelled 39 settlements, including the city of Kherson and nearby villages. As a result of Russian aggression, 1 person was killed and 13 others were injured.

On January 1, Russian shelling claimed the life of Pavlo Matviyets, a volunteer with the NGO Strong and Free. He was only 23 years old.
