The shelling damaged 8 high-rise buildings and 7 private houses. In addition, the Russians damaged important infrastructure, including a cell tower, an administrative building and private cars. A gas pipeline was also damaged, but the leak was quickly shut off, preventing any threats or fires.

On the morning of October 7, Russian troops carried out another attack on Kherson's civilian infrastructure and dropped explosives on a public bus stop.

A 65-year-old man was killed in the attack. Another local resident, aged 70, sustained injuries of varying severity and was immediately taken to hospital. The prosecutor's office has already opened a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war, which led to the death of a person, under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Over the course of the day from October 5 to October 6, Russian troops continued massive attacks on the Kherson region, using drones, aircraft and artillery. Twenty-seven settlements came under fire, including Kherson, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Zmiivka, and Kizomys.
