Enemy shelling destroys gas pipeline during attack on Kherson region

Russian troops massively shelled Kherson and Mykolaiv regions with drones, aircraft and artillery, and dozens of settlements were hit. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged, and eight people were injured.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the Russian army again shelled Kherson region with drones, aircraft and artillery over the past day, from October 3 to October 4. At least 34 settlements in the region came under enemy fire.

Among them are Bilozerka, Novoraysk, Zelenivka, Komyshany, Antonivka, Kizomys, and the city of Kherson. Enemy attacks targeted residential areas, critical and social infrastructure. Two high-rise buildings and 12 private houses were damaged, cars were smashed, and a gas pipeline was destroyed. The gas leak has been repaired and there is no threat of fire.

Eight people were injured in the shelling.

According to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Military District Administration, the enemy attacked Ochakivska and Kutsurubska communities with FPV drones six times yesterday. As a result of one of the attacks in Dmytrivka village, a private house was damaged, but there were no casualties.

According to the General Staff, the occupiers launched one missile and 46 air strikes, used 38 missiles, and dropped 46 guided bombs. In addition, the Russians used 2,214 kamikaze drones and fired 3,238 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements.

On the night of October 2, the Russian army launched massive strikes against Ukraine, with Odesa, Kyiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia under fire. The railroad infrastructure suffered the most: a train driver was wounded in Odesa, and train traffic was temporarily suspended in the north of the country.

On August 27, Russian troops shelled 33 settlements in Kherson region and launched a series of attacks in Mykolaiv region. One person was killed and 12 others were injured. The shelling damaged seven multi-story buildings and 94 private houses, as well as shops, outbuildings, garages, and vehicles.
