Law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to 26-year-old Russian serviceman Akhmed Magomedalev for cruel treatment of civilians during an international armed conflict. He is accused of committing a war crime - the rape of a minor girl in the occupied territory of Mykolaiv region.

This is stated in the text of the suspicion.

According to the investigation, in November 2022, Magomedalev, a serviceman of the 71st motorized rifle regiment of the Russian army, acting in the occupied territory of Snihurivka, committed violent acts against two underage girls who were in the yard of a local school. The perpetrator, brandishing a firearm, forced them into a car and drove them to a residential building. In one of the apartments, together with several other Russian military personnel, Magomedalev forced the 14-year-old girl to drink alcohol, and then, taking advantage of her defenseless state, raped her.

The text of the suspicion emphasizes that Magomedalev's actions grossly violate international humanitarian law, in particular the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which prohibit violence against civilians, especially women and children. It also contradicts the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which obliges to protect children during armed conflict.

Cases of torture and abuse by local residents of the Bashtanka district are not uncommon.

Recently, law enforcement officers found a Russian executioner who abused a resident of the Snihuriv community during the occupation. The offender now faces up to 12 years in prison.

Last year, a pre-trial investigation was completed in Mykolaiv against a Russian commander who tortured civilians.

Investigators of the Prosecutor General's Office also identified another Russian military officer involved in the abuse in the occupied Snihuriv community in 2022. He is charged with violating the laws and customs of war. The invaders illegally deprived two villagers of their liberty, kept them in the basement, and later took them to the Kherson region, where they were subjected to "interrogations."
