Russian Shelling in Kherson Kills 1, Injures 4 Amid Ongoing Attacks

On February 5, 2025, one person died and four others were injured as a result of Russian shelling of the de-occupied part of the Kherson region.

This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

Social infrastructure and residential areas on the right bank of the river came under attack. As a result of the shelling, 35 private houses, a gas pipeline, cars and outbuildings were damaged.

According to the head of the JFO, 27 settlements came under fire and air strikes, including Kherson, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Burgunka, Veletynske, Vesele, Dniprovske, Zmiivka, Zelenivka, Inzhenerne, Komyshany, Mykolaivka, Mykilske, Mykhailivka, Molodizhne, Monastyrske, Novoberislav, Olgivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Sofiyivka, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka, Chervonyi Mayak, and Chornobaivka.

On the night of March 5 , Russian occupation forces attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson. The shelling killed a local resident and damaged residential buildings and other infrastructure.

Earlier, an ambulance exploded on explosives near Novovorontsovka. The explosion damaged the wheel of the vehicle, but fortunately, the medics and the patient were not injured.

On the morning of March 4, Russian troops attacked a civilian car with a drone in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. A 67-year-old man was wounded. He received an explosive injury, as well as injuries to his arms and legs. The victim was immediately hospitalized for medical care.

This year, in February, 13 residents of Kherson died as a result of Russian shelling, and another 113 people were injured of varying severity. In January 2025, 16 residents of Kherson were killed in enemy attacks, and another 154 residents were injured.
