Russian shelling hits 36 settlements in Kherson, 1 killed, 7 injured

During the day, the occupation army of the Russian Federation shelled 36 settlements of Kherson region and launched a missile attack on Beryslav district.

This was announced on the morning of April 22 by the head of the regional military administration , Oleksandr Prokudin.

The Russian military hit critical infrastructure and residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, damaging 3 high-rise buildings and 8 private houses. The occupants also damaged a gas pipeline and an outbuilding.

One person was killed and seven civilians were wounded in the shelling.

According to the Joint Forces Operation, Antonivka, Berehove, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Burgunka, Veletynske, Vesele, Vysoonky, Havrylivka, Zelenivka, Zymivnyk, Zolota Balka, Ivanivka, Kozatske, Komyshany, Mykilske, Molodizhne, and Mykolayske came under enemy fire and air strikes, Monastyrske, Novokaira, Novoraysk, Novotyanka, Oleksandrivka, Odradokamyanka, Osokorivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Stanislav, Sofiyivka, Tavriyske, Tomarine, Tokarivka, Shyroka Balka, Shlyakhove, Chervonyi Mayak, and the city of Kherson.

The enemy also launched a missile attack on Beryslav district.

As Oleksandr Prokudin recently stated, the military of the aggressor country has changed the tactics of shelling settlements in Kherson region. First, the occupiers drop bombs, and then cover the same area with artillery, the official noted.
This means that after the first arrival, the situation remains dangerous. That is why it is important not to leave the shelter immediately. Staying in a safe place as long as possible can save your life.

In addition, the head of the JMA said that the Russian military had significantly intensified shelling of the region over the past week.
