Russian Shelling Hits 30+ Settlements in Kherson Region, 1 Dead, 15 Injured

The occupiers attacked more than 30 settlements in Kherson region, hitting houses, infrastructure and cars. The shelling killed one person and wounded 15 others, including a child.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

From April 16 to 17, 2025, the Russian army once again turned peaceful settlements in the Kherson region into targets.

The occupiers targeted critical infrastructure, residential areas and social facilities. At least 20 high-rise buildings and 17 private houses were damaged as a result of the attacks. The shells also destroyed gas pipelines, an outbuilding, several fire trucks and private cars.

Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, Sadove, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Romashkove, Oleksandrivka, Daryivka, Poniativka, Mykilske, Novodmitrivka, Beryslav, Dudchany, Novoraysk came under shelling and air strikes, Sablukivka, Shlyakhove, Monastyrske, Osokorivka, Novovorontsovka, Kachkarivka, Novooleksandrivka, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Kostyrka, Lvov, Odradokamyanka, Olgivka, Prydniprovske, Tokarivka, Tomaryne, Tyahyntsi, Chervonyi Mayak, and Kherson itself.

One person died as a result of these strikes. Another 15 were injured, including a child.

On April 16, Russian aircraft attacked the central district of Kherson. Social infrastructure and residential buildings were damaged. The attack killed one person and injured several others. When rescuers, social workers and utility workers arrived at the scene, the Russians opened artillery fire on them.

On April 14, in the village of Dudchany, the occupiers blew up a car with humanitarian bread. The car, driven by the village elder, hit a Russian anti-personnel mine. Despite the damage to the vehicle, the driver managed to get to the village and hide the car with the cargo.

Only on April 13-14, the de-occupied territories of Kherson region experienced massive shelling. Russian troops targeted residential areas and critical and social infrastructure. At least three multi-story buildings, 22 private houses and several cars of local residents were destroyed. three people were killed and six others were injured as a result of the enemy's aggression.
