Russian military kill a woman during shelling of Kizomys in Kherson region

On the morning of November 22, Russian military shelled the village of Kizomys in Kherson district with artillery, killing a 77-year-old woman.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, on November 22, 2025, at about 11:00, the Russian military shelled the village of Kizomys in the Kherson district with artillery.

As a result of the attack, a 77-year-old woman was killed in her house.

Under the procedural supervision of the Oleshky District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in the criminal proceedings over a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In total, the occupiers attacked the right bank of the Kherson region yesterday with artillery, mortars, MLRS, aircraft and UAVs of various types. As a result, 32 civilian objects were damaged.

Three apartment buildings and 14 private houses, a polyclinic, a state-owned enterprise, 3 police cars, a utility company car, 7 civilian cars, and 2 garages were damaged.

As a result of repeated shelling of the Korabelny district of Kherson, a state-owned enterprise, a polyclinic, three private houses, a garage and a car were damaged. At least 17 windows were smashed in the medical facility.

In the morning, the Russian military dropped explosives from a UAV on a vehicle of a utility company in the Shumensky district. The 51-year-old utility worker sustained contusion, blast and brain injuries. The vehicle was damaged.

Over the past day, the regional police opened 23 proceedings under Article 438 "War crimes" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
