A lieutenant general of the Russian army will be tried for the occupation of Kherson region and crimes against civilians.

For this purpose, he was appointed to the position of commander of a specially created auxiliary point of the "South" military command. The accused was under the command of at least four tactical groups, a special forces unit, an operational group and other units. He also coordinated the dispersal of peaceful protests, during which unarmed participants were subjected to brutality - they were detained, tortured and killed.
