The Kherson region spent another day under massive air and ground attacks, with Russians shelling more than 30 settlements. As a result of the attacks, 13 people were wounded and houses and civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Military District Administration.

During the day - from the morning of May 27 to the morning of May 28 - the Russian army did not stop attacking the Kherson region. Dozens of settlements came under fire, including Kherson, Beryslav, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Tokarivka and others.

The occupiers fired from artillery, dropped bombs and launched drones. The fire was directed at residential areas and social infrastructure. Two apartment buildings, ten private houses, a garage and a car were damaged.

As a result of these attacks, 13 civilians were injured. Among them is a 74-year-old woman who was hit by an enemy drone in Antonovka last night. She suffered a mine-blast trauma, shrapnel wounds to her neck, chest and arms. At night, Russian troops shelled Dniprovsky district with artillery. As a result of the attack, an 83-year-old man was seriously injured - he suffered a head wound, a fractured skull bone, a brain contusion and a broken rib. Doctors are currently fighting for his life.

On May 25-26, Russian troops continued shelling settlements in the Kherson region, deliberately terrorizing civilians. The attacks were carried out from the air, using drones, artillery and aircraft.

The shelling killed one person and injured four others. Two multi-storey buildings, 11 private houses, a gas pipeline, a cell tower and several cars were damaged. The day before, eight people, including two children, were injured in the enemy's strikes. Residential buildings, infrastructure and transport were also destroyed.

In the Kherson sector, the Russian army is actively using the latest weapons, including drones, electronic warfare systems and modern ammunition. According to Vladyslav Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, the occupiers feel relatively secure on the left bank of the Dnipro River due to the complexity of the Ukrainian troops' actions in the area. This allows them to use the territory as a training ground for shelling and testing military equipment.
