In 2024, the Chornobaivka Village Council, in cooperation with the Kherson Regional Charitable Foundation "United", processed 258 restoration ideas submitted by residents of the Chornobaivka community.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, four projects were identified based on the results of the review, which will be implemented in 2025.

Chornobaivka is located a few kilometers from Kherson. In March 2024, the Russian military occupied the military airport. The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched numerous attacks on the equipment of the Russian military, which they had deployed at the airport. Chornobaivka became "a symbol of the ineptitude of the Russian command". People composed poems and wrote songs about Chornobaivka. The name of the village became a meme of the Russian-Ukrainian war. On November 11, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village from Russian troops. However, the village suffered significant damage to both infrastructure and residential buildings during this time.

Next year:

Preparatory and construction work will continue over the next six months.

"These projects will be implemented by the Chornobaivka Village Council and an initiative group of community residents with the support of the USAID Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative (UCBI) project and the United Way," the HOVA said.

Earlier, the state digital ecosystem for recovery management DREAM contained 334 projects for the reconstruction of the Kherson region. Their implementation will require UAH 7.1 billion. The Chornobaiv community ranked first in terms of the number of reconstruction projects included in the system. Currently, 87 projects are registered there with a total estimated budget of UAH 1.2 billion. However, the available funding is currently only UAH 467 million.
