A resident of Kherson, who disseminated information about the location and movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was sentenced to 11 years in prison

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The statement reads that the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office found a local resident guilty of unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court sentenced her to 11 years of imprisonment.

Thus, the investigation established that the convict, having joined one of the pro-Russian Telegram channels, expressed support for Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. Using the same Telegram channel, she disseminated military information. She reported on the presence of equipment in the city, the location and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the regional center. At the same time, the woman realized that the information she provided could be used by the enemy to launch artillery or air strikes on these objects.

The woman will be kept in custody until the verdict enters into force.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that the serviceman will be brought to court for posting evacuation routes for wounded soldiers in Kherson region. It was established that in November 2023, a soldier, being in the combat zone in one of the districts of Kherson region, asked a fellow soldier to make a video recording of his stay in the area of combat operations. This recording was accompanied by comments and took place near objects in the area that allow them to be identified with reference to a map. Thus, the specific place where the evacuation of the next shifts of soldiers took place was revealed.

The resident of Mykolaiv region was also sentenced to eight years in prison. He used a messenger to transmit the locations of power substations in the southern region to the Russian secret service.
