Resident of Kherson region helped the occupiers in suppressing the resistance movement in a special unit

A local resident is suspected of joining the ranks of the illegal armed group "State Security Service of Kherson Region".

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the local resident was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of high treason and participation in the activities of an illegal armed group (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 2 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect is a 22-year-old cadet of one of the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. It is noted that in 2022, during the temporary occupation of Kherson, she joined the illegal armed formation "State Security Service of Kherson Region". Working as a specialist in the so-called "Special Operations Department A", she participated in the activities of the armed group. The members of the illegal armed group fulfilled the tasks set by the Kremlin regime to suppress the resistance movement in the region and any manifestations of non-recognition of the occupation authorities' policies. Law enforcement officers searched the suspect's apartment and collected evidence of illegal activity.

It is noted that the suspect is currently hiding from the investigation. The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that a man who initiated and supported the pseudo-referendum in Kherson region is suspected of aiding the enemy. According to the investigation, during the occupation of Kherson, the suspect supported the actions and decisions of the occupation authorities. He took the position of "deputy chairman of the public council" created under the occupation administration of the region. He was entrusted with responsibilities related to the formation of a positive image of the occupiers, their actions and decisions in society.

It was also said that a deputy of the Skadovsk City Council and two other "heads" of the occupation administrations of Kherson region were suspected.
