A local resident is suspected of producing anti-Ukrainian content that justified the occupation of Kherson region.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the resident of the region was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state committed by prior conspiracy with a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the 44-year-old suspect ran an advertising agency that continued to operate during the occupation of Kherson. In May 2022, the man organized the production of anti-Ukrainian content, which was subsequently placed on billboards in the regional center and the region, on the facades of educational institutions, institutions, and in public places. The content of the print was glorification of Russia and justification of the region's "accession" to Russia. The man also ensured the settlement and payment of salaries to employees in the currency of the aggressor country.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that a local resident was found guilty of collaboration under public prosecution of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. He was also deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities, public administration, local self-government and engage in activities related to the provision of public services for a period of 15 years.

The occupying head of the Kamenskaya community will also be tried in Kherson region. The investigation established that the 50-year-old defendant in September 2022 took the position of the so-called "head of the Kamenskoye TU of the Kakhovka VGA". In this position, the woman contributed to the formation of an illegal authority and was responsible for its functioning.
