Reconstruction of one of the hospitals in Kherson region will cost more than 120 million

The village of Velyka Oleksandrivka in Kherson Oblast is planning to restore the building of the local hospital. The cost of the work, according to the project, is UAH 120.7 million.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, the goal of the project is to improve the conditions for the provision of medical services by modernizing the building's infrastructure, ensuring energy efficiency, and creating comfortable conditions for patients and medical staff. To do this, it is planned to restore the external and internal structures of the building, replace utilities, roofing, windows, doors, insulate the facade, and modernize the heating system.

The restoration of the hospital also involves the introduction of inclusion. So, to make the premises accessible, they plan to equip them with slip-resistant ramps at the main entrances. A lift or elevator will also be installed to access the upper floors. The doorways are to be widened to facilitate wheelchair access.

The total cost of the project is UAH 120.7 million. To implement this project, the Velyko Oleksandrivka Village Council has applied for a subvention from the state budget under the Ukraine Recovery Program.

Earlier, the Department of Territorial Development of the Kherson Regional State Administration announced that it was looking for money to build a general family medicine outpatient clinic in the village of Davydiv Brid.

Prior to that, the Verkhnorohachytsia village council announced its intention to purchase a set of equipment and a car for a mobile ASC. They plan to spend a little over UAH 1 million. And the Kherson Regional Hospital for Rehabilitation has announced the creation of a 30-bedMental Health Unit. The arrangement of which can cost the budget 11 million hryvnias. At the same time, the hospital itself can allocate only 93 thousand hryvnias out of 11 million.

In total, since the beginning of the year, 11 facilities have been added to the DREAM Digital Ecosystem for Accountable Recovery Management, which are planned to be restored in 2025. At the same time, the cost has been calculated for only two reconstruction projects: the repair of the Mental Health Unit and the reconstruction of the Vysokopil Lyceum building.
