Odesa plans to change the budget by 200 million

The Standing Committee on Planning, Budget and Finance has agreed to submit to the session amendments to the city budget for 2025 that provide for an increase in budget allocations in the healthcare and education sectors.

According to Oleksiy Potapsky, chairman of the commission, budget allocations in the healthcare sector are planned to be increased by 38.4 million hryvnias, the Center for Public Investigations reported during the meeting on September 12.

This money is planned to be distributed as follows:

As for educational institutions, budget allocations will increase by UAH 97 million 604 thousand.

The Department of Labor and Social Policy is also to be allocated an additional UAH 32.4 million, including UAH 20 million for the payment of benefits to those mobilized from Odesa, UAH 7.2 million for the payment of targeted assistance and UAH 5 million for the payment of benefits to labor and war veterans.

In August, the commission also approved a number of changes to the city's budget for 2025 for consideration by the Odesa City Council. At that time, UAH 18 million 865.8 thousand was allocated from the state budget of Ukraine for meals for students of general secondary education institutions, as well as UAH 11 million 150 thousand for meals for primary school students.
