The High Council of Justice (HCJ) has dismissed Lyudmyla Stepanova from the post of judge of the Economic Court of Odesa Oblast.

This was reported by the HCJ press service.

According to the Council, the reason for the dismissal was the judge's application. Liudmyla Stepanova has been working as a judge since 2015. In her declaration for 2024, she indicated that she uses an apartment in Odesa with an area of 107.9 square meters, and her husband uses a non-residential building in Odesa with an area of 25 square meters. The property belongs to Lidia Stepanova. The declaration for 2023 also included two non-residential premises owned by the judge's husband, Dmytro Bochev, as well as a mention of a rental apartment in the UK.

The husband's real estate was sold, as evidenced by the income from the sale of real estate totaling UAH 92 thousand declared in 2024.

The family's income in 2024 also consisted of the judge's salary of UAH 1 million 431.4 thousand and her husband's pension of UAH 61.9 thousand.

The judge's family owns only a ZAZ 965A, while the husband owns a 2008 Honda Pilot and a 2016 Dodge Journey. The first car is used by the judge herself, and the second by her husband. Lidiya Stepanova is also the owner of the vehicles.

Earlier, the Third Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice decided to open a disciplinary case against judge of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa Khrystyna Yarema. The complaint against the judge was filed by lawyer Tetiana Bohdanova-Puff, who provided a list of more than 30 cases of administrative offenses that were in the judge's proceedings and were not considered within the time limit set by the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, which resulted in the closure of proceedings in these cases.
