<span><span><span><span><span><span>Residents of Kherson have filed a lawsuit against the American company Ubiquiti Inc., which they allege is selling radio transmitters to Russian drone crews. The lawsuit states that the company had the same technical and contractual authority to disable its own devices as Starlink did, but failed to exercise it. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York by Ukrainian civilians and relatives of people killed or injured as a result of Russian drone attacks. The complaint states that despite export restrictions on radio link antennas and AirMAX technology to Russia, Ubiquiti’s products still find their way to the Russian military through intermediary supply chains. The devices connect intelligence units, drone operators, strike units, and commanders via an approximately 100-kilometer encrypted network on the battlefield.</span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>“Communications on the battlefield are the central nervous system of the Russian occupation forces: without them, they would be unable to coordinate their ‘human safari’ or maintain the occupation,” Scott Gilmore, the plaintiffs’ attorney, noted in an interview with Euromaidan Press.</span></span></span></span></span></span>
<span><span><span><span><span><span>The lawsuit cites U.S. export control restrictions, data on imports from Russia, public reports, statements by the Russian military, images and videos from the battlefield, as well as the company’s own telemetry data from Ubiquiti devices. It is noted that the company retained location data showing where its devices were operating, specifically in Russia and in the occupied territory of Ukraine. </span></span></span></span></span></span>
<b>Ubiquiti Inc.</b> is an American technology company headquartered in New York, founded in 2005 by former Apple engineer Robert Perra. It specializes in developing networking equipment, wireless routers, video surveillance systems, and high-speed long-range radio links under the UniFi and UniFi OS brands.
