Zarina Zabriskie, an American journalist who documents Russian war crimes, announced her return to Kherson amid new drone attacks and the so-called "truce." According to her, the city continues to live under the threat of drones that lie in wait for people near the roads and spread Russian propaganda.

This was reported by Vgoru.

Zabriskie, an American journalist and documentary filmmaker, said that after her stay in Odesa, she would soon return to Kherson to continue documenting Russia's war crimes.

In her post, she noted that despite talk of a "truce," Ukrainian cities continue to be under attack. During the air alert in Odesa, local telegram channels reported the appearance of kamikaze drones.

According to the journalist, her friends from Kherson talk about the new tactics of Russian drones. These include artificial intelligence drones that can lurk near roads in search of targets for attack. In addition, fake Ukrainian banknotes with Russian propaganda were allegedly scattered over the city the day before.

Zaryna Zabriskie also shared her impressions of her travels in Europe, where she presented a documentary about Kherson and tried to draw the attention of diplomats, politicians, journalists and humanitarian organizations to the situation in the occupied territories.

She emphasized that a significant part of European society knows almost nothing about the current drone war in Ukraine, sieges with the help of drones, and the humanitarian crisis in the frontline territories. According to her, some people abroad even mistakenly believe that the war has already ended.

The journalist also criticized the work of the international media, saying that the journalistic community does not sufficiently convey to the world the scale of the tragedy experienced by the residents of Kherson region.

At the same time, she noted that she has met many caring people from different countries who are ready to help Ukraine. Among the first results of this cooperation, she mentioned the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the attention of the Ombudsman and international journalists to the problems of Kherson region.

At the end of her address, Zabriskie said she believes in the ability of individuals to change circumstances and promised to continue working to ensure that the world does not forget about Kherson and the war in Ukraine.

Trailer of the documentaryKherson:Kherson: HumanSafari, a chronicle of Russian terror in one of the hottest regions of the war, was released last May.
