The trailer of the documentary Kherson: Kherson: Human Safari, a chilling chronicle of Russian terror in one of the hottest regions of the war.

The video has been posted online.

The film tells the shocking truth about life under occupation, the struggle for freedom, the crimes of the Russians and the new reality of Kherson in the era of drone warfare.

This 80-minute film by the American filmmaker, journalist and correspondent Zarina Zabriskie shows the entire path of Kherson - from the first days of the invasion in 2022, through occupation, resistance, liberation and to today's massive drone strikes. The cameraman was Oleksandr Andrushchenko, who documented the events directly from the occupied city.

The film is especially publicized by the recent conclusion of the UN Commission, according to which systematic drone attacks on Kherson are recognized as crimes against humanity and war crimes. This is stated in the official press release of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights of May 28, 2025.

The film was edited by Artem Tsynskyi (Suspilne Odesa), color corrected by British video journalist Jason N. Parkinson, sound by Yegor Irodov, and produced by Heidi Siegmund Cuda and Oksana Taranenko.

The film not only documents the atrocities of the Russian occupiers, but also captures the resilience of Kherson residents who fight, survive and continue to live despite the daily terror. The film is expected to premiere in the near future.

Recently, Intent wrote that Russian troops are actively testing new types of weapons in the Kherson sector, including drones, electronic warfare systems and modern ammunition. According to him, the Russians feel relatively safe on the left bank of the Dnipro River, as a large water barrier complicates the work of Ukrainian troops, so the occupiers use this area as a training ground for shelling and testing equipment.

Russian troops are also amassing reserves on the left bank of the Kherson region and other occupied territories, preparing for new assaults in the summer of 2025.
