The chairwoman of a village council in the Odesa region has been appointed deputy leader of the All-Ukrainian Association of Territorial Communities

Marina Arkhiriy, chair of the Krasnosilsk Village Council in the Odesa District, has been appointed vice chair of the All-Ukrainian Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities (VAOTG).

She announced this on Facebook.

The decision was adopted at the general meeting of the All-Ukrainian Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities. Oleksandr Korinnyi was re-elected as chairman of the association for the third time, and Marina Arkhiriy became his deputy .

“From now on, I am the vice chair of the All-Ukrainian Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities. Yes, it’s a pleasure, but even more so—it’s a responsibility. But we’re not afraid of responsibility,” Arkhiir wrote.

According to her, this new position is not about status, but rather an opportunity to serve a greater number of communities.

“Communities aren’t just territories on a map. They’re people. They have needs, daily problems, plans, ambitions, and a tremendous desire to develop even in very difficult times,” she noted.

Arkhiiriya added that she plans to seek out resources for communities, bring people together, and advocate for their interests.

“There are many tasks ahead. And there’s no shortage of ideas either,” the official concluded. 

The All-Ukrainian Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities (VAOTG) is an association of communities that represents their interests at the national level.

In other words<span>,</span> it<span>is a platform through which communities can jointly represent their interests and address issues at the national level.</span>

The association helps communities defend their rights, participate in shaping public policy, exchange experiences, and receive advisory and expert support.

The Association of Ukrainian Territorial Communities also collaborates with government agencies and international partners to mobilize resources and support community development.
