Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has signed a decree to end the heating season in the city.

The relevant order was published by the press service of the municipality.

According to the order, the city's centralized heating will be turned off from March 31. The municipal enterprise "Heat Supply of Odesa", heads of enterprises of other forms of ownership, as well as heads of enterprises that own central heating and hot water supply systems should start performing scheduled repairs of the heating system.

Earlier, the Odesa Regional State Administration decided to end the heating season in the region's settlements between March 25 and April 15. This was explained by the warming weather.

Instead, Oleksiy Kucherenko said on Ranok.LIVE that Ukraine is forced to end the heating season ahead of schedule due to the critical situation with gas production infrastructure. According to the MP, the Russians have struck five powerful blows at Ukraine's gas production infrastructure. This led to the loss of 40% of their production capacity. However, the MP's words were not officially confirmed.

Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi was the first city in Odesa region to turn off the heating, where the heating season ended on March 25.

The rest of the schedule looked like this:

The latest they decided to turn off the heat in Rozdilna was April 15.

The heating season of 2024-2025 in Odesa started on November 4, but the heat was turned on gradually. First, the district heating was turned on in kindergartens, schools and hospitals. Due to the complexity of the technological process, it took from one week to 10 days to connect the entire city. In Chornomorsk, the heating season started on November 5. At the time, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development reported that the heating season had not yet started in Odesa and Kherson regions due to the warm autumn.
