The toponymic commission supported the renaming of streets in honor of the Heroes of Ukraine, the installation of a number of memorial plaques, and the erection of a monument to writer and poet Volodymyr Zhabotynsky.
In particular, the commission<span>supported the initiative to erect a memorial sign in honor of the fallen soldiers of the "United Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine "Rage".</span>
<span>They also decided to name a street in Odesa in honor of Colonel Oleksandr Hostyshchev, who died saving people during a missile attack. He was the commander of the Tsunami regiment of the National Police assault brigade "Rage" and a holder of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree, for his contribution to the offensive in Kherson region and II degree (posthumously). However, the commission has not yet determined which street will be renamed. </span>
<span>Oleksandr Hostyshchev was born on February 19, 1983 in Dnipro. He graduated from the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology, and in 2017 received a second degree in law from the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. He died in Odesa as a result of a Russian missile strike on March 15, 2024. </span>
It was recommended thatLiadova Street be renamed<span>in honor of the Hero of Ukraine, a combat medic with the 36th Separate Marine Brigade </span>, and Pryvokzalny Lane in honor of the Rescue Heroes. So far, three firefighters have been killed in Odesa, and 116 rescuers have been killed in Ukraine.
Pavlo Malofeenko, a senior sailor, served as a combat medic in a mortar platoon of the fire support company of the 36th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi. He defended the city of Odesa as part of the units that ensured the defense of the coast near the city. On January 30, 2023, while performing a combat mission, he came under heavy artillery fire in the village of Vodiane, Donetsk region, and sustained injuries incompatible with life.

Vladimir (Ze'ev) Jabotinsky was a Jewish writer and publicist, one of the leaders of the Zionist movement; co-founder of the State of Israel and its armed forces (Haganah). Jabotinsky received a university degree and, thanks to his literary talents and linguistic abilities, became a foreign correspondent for the Odessansky Lystok and Odessanski Novyny newspapers at the age of 18, first in Bern and then in Rome.
Also, continuing the tradition of installing memorial plaques dedicated to the history of foreign consulates and diplomatic missions in Odesa, the Commission proposed to unveil a memorial plaque in honor of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Turkey on the facade of the building at 66 Nizhynska Street.
