The 17th Odessa International Film Festival has announced the members of the FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) jury, which will present a special award to one of the films in the National Competition.

This was announced by the festival organizers.

The FIPRESCI jury includes three Ukrainian film experts.

Lyudmila Novikova is the head of the Department of Audiovisual Arts and Production at the I. K. Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema, and Television and a longtime director of the programming department at the Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival.

Iryna Zubavina is a film scholar, Doctor of Arts, professor, and full member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.

Natalia Musienko — cultural studies scholar and film scholar, leading research fellow at the Institute for Contemporary Art Studies of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.

FIPRESCI is the International Federation of Film Critics, which forms professional juries at international film festivals and presents its own awards.

The 17th Odesa International Film Festival is set to begin soon. This year, it will take place from August 27 to September 4 in Kyiv.

The organizers recently began selling tickets for screenings as well as festival passes.

For the third year in a row, the Odesa International Film Festival will be held in Kyiv. Earlier, the organizers announced the program for film professionals and later presented 12 out-of-competition films.

At the same time, holding the festival in the capital has sparked debate. On social media, the Odessa International Film Festival has been criticized for not yet returning to Odessa. In response, the organizers stated that the festival retains its name, history, and Odessa identity.
