Odesa decided not to extend winter vacation

The Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council did not recommend that the city's schools switch to distance learning or extend the winter vacation.

This was reported by the director of the department, Yulia Filler.

According to her, the security situation in the region allows for the continuation of the current full-time and blended learning format.

"The network is spreading information about the transition to remote work or the introduction of winter vacations in schools. Indeed, after the shelling and damage to the energy system, in some regions of the country there is a need to reconsider the operation of institutions. In our region, the security situation allows us to continue full-time work! The city's educational institutions are operating as usual and are ready to receive children," the official explained.

The day before, the Ministry of Education and Science decided to extend the holidays in Ukraine due to the security situation. Due to the consequences of the emergency, according to the Ministry, the government has decided to temporarily suspend the educational process in full-time education in preschool, general secondary, vocational, professional pre-university and higher education institutions, depending on the security situation in the region.
