Since the beginning of the year, farmers in Odesa region have received UAH 3.8 billion in loans, including UAH 2.28 billion under the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9".

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry's estimates, 812 farms received loans this year, including 544 under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9 program. Concessional financing of agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9 Program during 2024-2025 is made possible by the support of the World Bank under the Emergency Project for Inclusive Support for the Recovery of Agriculture in Ukraine (ARISE).

The program simplifies access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are granted at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and business entity.

The leaders in obtaining loans are agrarians in Kyiv region, where 930 enterprises received 16.85 billion UAH in loans. However, the list of leaders in obtaining loans in general and users of the state program is somewhat different.

If the top five leaders in terms of loan amounts look like this Kyiv region - UAH 16.85 billion allocated to 930 companies; Dnipro region - UAH 4.57 billion to 707; Cherkasy region - UAH 4.21 billion to 392; Lviv region - UAH 4.1 billion to 597; Kirovohrad region - UAH 4.06 billion to 1,136 and Odesa region ranks only sixth, Odesa region holds the fourth position in the list of users of the 5-7-9 program.

The top five looks like this:

Since the beginning of the year, 9,526 agricultural enterprises have received UAH 66.7 billion in bank loans for development. Of these, 5,857 farms have received more than UAH 28 billion in loans under the state program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9".
