An occupation judge from Crimea was sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason and collaboration.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The report says that a citizen of Ukraine, who administers "justice" on behalf of and in the interests of the aggressor state, was sentenced in absentia at the public prosecution of the autonomy's prosecutor's office. She was convicted of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and collaboration (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property and 10 years of disqualification from holding positions related to civil service and local government.

Thus, prosecutors proved in court that in 2022 the convict voluntarily took the position of a "judge" in the occupied Kerch City Court of the Republic of Crimea. Guided by the legislation of the Russian Federation, she held more than 300 court hearings on civil and administrative "cases". In particular, the convict made an illegal decision to deprive a Ukrainian of the right to own a land plot in the city of Kerch, arguing that Ukrainian citizens on the territory of the occupied peninsula are "foreigners" and have no right to own their own land.

It is noted that by her actions, the convict contributed to the strengthening of the occupation regime by directly participating in the functioning of illegally established judicial bodies on the peninsula, and also assisted the Russian Federation in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.

The special pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the SBU Main Directorate in the AR of Crimea.

Earlier it was reported that the prosecutor's office of the autonomy sent indictments to the court against nine former employees of the Crimean prosecutor's office. Their actions are classified as high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for up to 15 years in prison.
