Occupants burned the building of Kherson Regional State Administration

On August 30, at around 16:00, Russian troops launched an artillery attack on the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in the building, which had been damaged by air strikes earlier, and lasted all night.

This was reported to MOST by Ruslan Mykhailevsky, an officer of the Kherson Defense Forces.

The State Emergency Service units were able to extinguish the fire only in the morning of August 31. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

On August 26-27, six settlements in the Beryslav district of Kherson region were left without electricity supply due to Russian shelling on the right bank of the Kherson region.

According to the JFO, the Russian army shelled 36 settlements on the right bank of the Kherson region, injuring 11 people.

Head of Russian criminal investigation to be tried for torture in Kherson region. Investigators in Kherson region have brought to court a case against a man who headed the criminal investigation department in Hornostayivka during the occupation. He is accused of ill-treatment of local residents, which qualifies as a war crime.

Law enforcement officers have sent to court an indictment against a man who headed the so-called criminal investigation department of the Russian Interior Ministry's Hornostayevsky department during the occupation. He is accused of cruel treatment of civilians committed by prior conspiracy with other persons under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of the laws and customs of war.

According to the investigation, in June 2023, the accused, together with members of the Russian army, arrived at a house in the temporarily occupied Hornostaivka. Under the pretext of a search, they broke into the home of a local resident. The owner was beaten, after which he and his wife were detained and taken to the premises of the former police station, which the Russians seized and used for their own purposes.
