At night, a massive drone attack in the Mykolaiv region cut off power to a number of settlements. Power engineers have been restoring power supply since the night.
This was reported by Vitaliy Kim, head of Mykolaiv regional power company.
At night, settlements in Bashtanka, Mykolaiv and part of Voznesensk districts were left without power due to a Russian attack. Power engineers are gradually restoring electricity to consumers.
According to the official, all critical and social infrastructure facilities have been operating on generators and alternative power sources since the night before. Heating, water supply and sewerage have been restored. Measures are currently being taken to maintain stable mobile communications. In Mykolaiv, autonomous trolleybuses have started running, and buses and private vehicles are running. All services are working in an emergency mode.
According to the official, at night the enemy launched a massive attack with Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones on critical infrastructure facilities in the region. As a result of the attack, settlements in Bashtanka, Mykolaivka and Voznesensk districts were left without electricity. Power companies started restoration work at night.
In addition, seven garages, two cars and a tractor were damaged in Mykolaiv.
The day before, Russian troops attacked the Ochakivska and Kutsurubska communities with FPV drones three times and shelled the Kutsurubska community with artillery. There were no casualties.
On November 13, six residents of Mykolaiv were injured in a kamikaze drone attack, three of them in critical condition. On November 9, the occupation forces intensified the use of attack drones in the southern direction.
The territory of Mykolaiv region suffered 11 attacks by FPV drones. Three coastal communities - Ochakivska, Kutsurubska and Halytsynivska - came under enemy fire. As a result of the massive use of attack drones, a store building in the village of Lupareve was damaged.
Also, in the evening of December 19, Russian troops attacked a port infrastructure facility in Odesa district with ballistic missiles. A passenger bus with people was in the epicenter of the attack. Also, trucks caught fire in the parking lot, and cars were damaged. The attack killed 8 people and injured 27 others.
