In Mykolaiv, new autonomous trolleybuses were damaged by enemy shelling. The city's utility company was also damaged.

This was reported by the press service of Mykolaivelectrotrans.

"Yesterday, not only the residential sector but also one of the city's enterprises suffered as a result of the Russian drone attack.

Due to the aftermath of the shelling, the distribution of purified water by tram and trolleybus has been temporarily suspended today, January 22. Nevertheless, electric transport will continue to run on city routes as usual.

Utilities are inspecting the affected buildings to determine the extent of the damage and have already begun repairing the damage where necessary.

Recently, Mykolaiv's electric transport fleet was replenished with three new PTS trolleybuses, which can cover up to 20 kilometers without using the overhead line. The trolleybus depot continued to prepare the new vehicles for operation: technical inspections, system setup, branding, and test runs were carried out.

In early January, Mykolaivelectrotrans began testing a new trolleybus route. Four units of transport will run between Matviyivka and Mykolaiv-Freight railway station. The route also includes separate trips to the Matviyivka cemetery.

At the end of last year, a record group of future trolleybus drivers graduated from Mykolaivelectrotrans. A total of 24 students received certificates of completion. The students received the largest scholarship in Ukraine - UAH 12 thousand per month. The utility company has already announced new free courses for anyone who wants to learn the profession of trolleybus driver, supporting the development of urban transport infrastructure.
