In Novovasylivka village of Snihurivka TG, the fire destroyed an outbuilding. The fire also affected the residential sector: in the Central District of Mykolaiv, while extinguishing a fire in a nine-story apartment, rescuers found the body of the deceased owner, born in 1937. The fire on a bed and household items over an area of 4 square meters was quickly extinguished.

In the village of Velykoserbulivka, Yelanetska TG, a bus caught fire while driving. The fire on the area of 10 square meters was quickly extinguished, no one was injured. The preliminary cause of the fire was a short circuit in the engine wiring.

A total of 23 vehicles and 80 rescuers were engaged in firefighting.

Earlier, in Mykolaiv Oblast, a woman and her 14-year-old son were burned while trying to melt a stove with a gas aerosol can that suddenly burst into flames. The fire was avoided, but the victims were hospitalized.

In Voznesensk, on the evening of January 18, a bathhouse on the territory of a private household caught fire. A man born in 1991 was poisoned by combustion products; his wife took him out of the smoky room and called rescuers and medics. The victim was hospitalized.

In the village of Ivanivka in the Bratsk community, a teenager saved his younger brother from a fire. Things caught fire in the room where the six-year-old boy was staying due to a short circuit in the power supply. Hearing the screams, the older brother ran out to help and took the child to the yard. The boy was hospitalized at a children's hospital with second-degree burns. Local residents managed to put out the fire before the rescuers arrived.
