In Mykolaiv, a meeting of the Expert and Public Council of the city council's executive committee planned to build a new innovative center for sports, tourism and recreation. The center will be created on the basis of the Young Sailors Club.
According to the Business Support Center, the main topic of the meeting was the project of the Water Palace construction complex, which will appear on the territory of AQUAPORT MYKOLAIV.
The architectural company One Works presented detailed drawings, visualization, and the concept of the future location. The Water Palace project envisages a large-scale modernization of the premises of the Young Sailors Club and the creation of a modern water hub. It will include:
Tetiana Shulichenko, Director of the Economic Development Department, emphasized that this project will help create new jobs and develop the city's infrastructure.
"We are creating not just a building, but a full-fledged center for active leisure, sports, and culture. This is an important step in transforming Mykolaiv into a tourist-attractive city," said Artem Vashchylenko, Chairman of the Expert and Public Council.
"New discussions and work on important issues for the city are ahead. One of the next meetings will be devoted to water supply in Mykolaiv, which is a critical issue for the citizens.
Other key areas for the region's development include the creation of a transport and logistics hub with modern port infrastructure, the introduction of alternative energy sources, and the development of an innovative agricultural sector and blue economy.
Last year, international partners expressed their support for the strategy to restore Mykolaiv as a center, a model that combines efficient use of water resources with respect for the environment. The city presented a new economic model based on the principles of the blue and green economy.
