Mykolaiv plans to restore an apartment building damaged by Russian shelling. The project with a budget of more than 16 million provides for structural reinforcement and overhaul, but funding has not yet been secured.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the DREAM ecosystem.

In Mykolaiv, it is planned to restore an apartment building on Yantarna Street, which was severely damaged by Russian shelling. The goal of the project is to restore the integrity of the facility for further safe operation and return of residents to their homes.

According to the results of the technical inspection, the building's load-bearing walls, floor slabs, basement structures, and loggias were damaged, so it is currently uninhabitable.

The project requires UAH 16.8 million, of which UAH 2.8 million is for design and the rest for construction. Funding has not yet been confirmed, but the project is of great social and economic importance: it will allow residents to return to their homes and restore the building's safe operation.

The overhaul project already has approved design and estimate documentation, has passed environmental certification, and is included in the Unified Project Portfolio. The work involves strengthening structures, replacing damaged elements, and updating power supply systems.

The restoration is being carried out by the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council, and the balance sheet holder is the Yantarna 67 condominium association.

This is not the only residential building renovation project in the city. Mykolaiv also plans to turn an old house on Velyka Morska Street into modern housing, with more than UAH 143 million allocated for this purpose. The work will include renovation of coatings, landscaping, installation of energy-saving lighting, and landscaping.

Another large-scale project involves the reconstruction of a building on Khersonske Highway: with a budget of over UAH 200 million, they want to equip a public space on the roof, make the area comfortable, and implement inclusive solutions.
