In Mykolaiv, another tender for coastal protection works in the Velyka Korenyha neighborhood of the city's Zavodskyi district failed. It was planned to spend UAH 1 million 670 thousand from the budget.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, the relevant information is available in the Prozorro system.

The administration of Zavodskyi district of Mykolaiv City Council announced thefirst procurement in the format of open bidding with special conditions in late August. Since only one bidder applied for the tender, the local authorities did not have to choose the cheapest bidder. The agreement was to be signed with Mykolaivbudmekhanizatsiya, an additional liability company. The total amount, including price adjustments, was UAH 1 million 665 thousand.

For these funds, the contractor, according to the tender documents, was to dismantle the reinforced concrete massifs that had sagged due to soil leaching. It was also supposed to remove the defective concrete layer from the surface of concrete and reinforced concrete structures, remove construction waste, excavate the soil with an excavator, lay a layer of geotextile to prevent soil penetration, etc. In addition, it was necessary to install massifs to strengthen the bank, lay slabs and grout the joints of the retaining wall slabs. The work was to be completed by December 2, 2024.

However, on September 9, the website posted information about the tender's cancellation. The reason given was that there was no further need for the procurement.

The very next day, on September 10, the administration of Zavodskyi District of Mykolaiv City Council announced a new tender for coastal protection works in the Velyka Korenyha neighborhood with the same price. The auction was scheduled for September 18, but it did not take place due to a lack of bids.

Recently, the Mykolaiv Oblast Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service ordered the repair of the Varvarovsky Bridge over the Pivdennyi Buh River to the only bidder, European Road Construction Company LLC. The contract is worth UAH 57 million. The State Audit Service took an interest in the tender.
