On May 29, Mykolaiv City Council is scheduled to hold a session where deputies will consider important issues, including the reorganization of the Kazka cultural complex and the installation of solar power plants. The agenda also includes changes to the Economic Development Program, personnel issues and the possibility of attracting a grant from NEFCO.

The relevant order was signed by Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych.

Mykolaiv has announced the date of the next session of the city council, which will consider key issues for the city's development. The meeting is scheduled for May 29, 2025, starting at 11:00 am. The format is remote, with a traditional online broadcast on the official YouTube channel and the city council website.

The agenda of the session includes budget, land, property and personnel issues. Among the key issues is amending the Program of Economic and Social Development of Mykolaiv for 2024-2026, which is to become a roadmap for the city's infrastructure upgrade.

One of the important decisions will be to reorganize the Kazka cultural and gaming complex, which is to be merged with the Mykolaiv City Palace of Culture and Events. This merger involves not only a change in the management structure but also the assignment of all the property at the disposal of the complex to the new institution.

As a separate item, the deputies will consider the possibility of attracting grant funding from the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) to install three solar power plants in the city. This is a step towards energy efficiency and reducing the burden on the city budget.

Other issues include the write-off of obsolete fixed assets from the city's balance sheet, delegation of authority to the mayor to extend contracts with heads of educational institutions, changes to the charter of the Soliany utility, and reorganization of several other municipal non-profit enterprises.

In March, members of the Mykolaiv City Council decided to buy out a tram substation, a local architectural heritage site. This historic building is part of Mykolaiv's cultural face and reminds us of the beginnings of electric transport development in the city in the early 20th century. In April, the deputies supported the creation of a municipal yacht club. They also planned an inventory of the property to be transferred for its use.
