Mykolaiv authorities have allocated over 28 million for the economic and social development of the city. They plan to build two memorials, a columbarium, install loudspeakers, create an industrial park, and digitize the city's topography.

This is evidenced by the draft city budget for 2025.

The budget program "Construction of Other Municipal Property Objects" provides for the allocation of UAH 19 million 255 thousand 186 to implement the measures of the Mykolaiv Economic and Social Development Program for 2024-2026, as well as the city's comprehensive program "Informatization and Development of E-Governance" for 2020-2025.

The Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council received UAH 16 million 186 thousand. These funds will be used for the construction of the video surveillance and video analytics system "Safe City of Mykolaiv" (as adjusted).

The Capital Construction Department of Mykolaiv City Council received UAH 3 million 255 thousand.

The following projects are planned to be implemented:

In addition, UAH 9 million 87 thousand 702 was allocated for the implementation of the program "Implementation of other measures for the socio-economic development of the territory". Of these, UAH 800 thousand were allocated from the general budget fund; and UAH 8 million 287 thousand 702 were allocated from the special fund.

These funds will be used to organize and hold architectural competitions for the design of public spaces. Funding from the special fund will be used for the activities of the economic and social development program for 2024-2026, including the creation of a unified digital topographic database of the city's territories.

The city authorities planned to create a memorial complex dedicated to the memory of the fallen warrior heroes who defended the country in the Russian-Ukrainian war back in June. The main purpose of the conceptual design is to create a minimalist space that reflects modern values and honors the memory of the fallen heroes. The area will be divided into two zones: the Grieving Mother Square and the memorial complex.

Also in June, new innovative projects for the development of the city's infrastructure were presented at the Mykolaiv Blue & Green Economy online forum. The projects were focused on water conservation, development of shipping, fishing, tourism, and support for environmentally friendly business models.

In particular, they presented a project to build an industrial park. The main elements of the park include enterprises, business incubators, logistics centers, and an innovation zone. In addition, there are plans to create a coastal public space for education and recreation called Aqua Port, an innovation technology park called Ukrainian Future, and to restore the Mykolaiv Shipyard.
